An unexpected beachside experience

The hotel offers a rare location right on the beach, with fine views and excellent staff who are eager to assist, especially during breakfast service.

We faced noise disturbances from ongoing roadworks nearby, which affected our relaxation on the balcony and made our rest challenging.

Fab food, good service and magnificent view of the sea. Toast, cereal and pastries available for breakfast. Brand-new, bright rooms and brilliant bathrooms. Incredible location, next to cafes and bars. It also was next to a cove and the bay.

Great location, you can't get any closer to the sea!! It was worth the extra supplement to get the seaside view. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. La Cala has a beautiful little beach around the corner from Benidorm's main beaches, so alot quieter. Free parking just 50m from the hotel. Fantastic holiday!!

Breakfast not up to much, however there is plenty of choice in the surrounding cafe's and bars.

Strongly recommend for a weekend respite

Friendly staff, clean rooms, we enjoyed the fine sea view from our balcony, made our mornings special with breakfast served until noon, and the convenient beach access allowed for peaceful strolls in the lovely weather .

Nothing could be improved.

The location is excellent ,rooms functional with good beds.Very helpful at reception especially the German lady whose name I cannot recall.

No tea making facilities. No English speaking tv,apart from CNN.Which the receptionist seemed quite pleased about,but was actually useless.In this day and age I cannot believe that you cant get English speaking tv in a hotel.It totally alienates you from the outside world.Only Spanish tv available.Expensive internet connection in lounge upstairs very nice lounge with widescreen tv but same channels as in room.

Location is right on the beach, good if choosing room with sea view or side sea view. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Has the feel of a family-run hotel. Very clean and worth more than the 2 star official rating.

Lovely sea view rooms

It has a great location near the beach (less than 100 meters). It is close to Benidorm and yet far enough to avoid the confusion

Internet access was terrible, even after buying the ticket, had troubles conecting

The staff at la cala were so friendly and efficient, brightening our mornings. Breakfast choices were great and served until noon, perfect for a lazy start. The sea view from our room was fine.

We have stayed at hotel La Cala twice and enjoyed its location ,sea view room overlooking the lovely la Cala bay. what a find .The local spanish bars offer free tapas everywhere .Hope to stay there again next year.

Great modern and well-maintained room and perfect facilities.

Fine sea view from the Twin Room, perfect for sipping drinks on the balcony while soaking it all in. The rooftop terrace offers a peaceful escape with sunbeds ideal.

Dining options are limited during weekdays, with the restaurant closed Monday to Wednesday, and the continental breakfast lacks variety, offering only basic items like cereal and toast. Paying for the safe and the slippery shower tray can be bothersome, especially when extra amenities come at an additional cost.

The cleanliness was really good, with every corner of the hotel super clean. The shower pressure was great, and the location couldn't be beat, being right on the beach. We loved sitting on our balcony with a drink and soaking in the beautiful views of the ocean.

Had to pay for the safe.

The hotel was very clean and tidy,it has a great location as right on the beach, with a great cafe underneath, the hotel starts on the 1st floor as cafe bars etc on ground level, but not noisy. If booking I would go for room 302, or 301, as great views over the sea and balcony will get the sun. Breakfast is basic coffee rolls buns etc but it is quality that you get. The staff are all very nice and helpfull.

Everything was just great, no complaints .
